History

Telefoniczna Agencja Informacyjna was established in 1989. As one of the first companies on the Polish market TAI has been promoting the concept and the need of proper usage of economic information since the beginning of the Polish political transformation. At present TAI is one of the biggest companies dealing with gathering and processing the economic information. We administer the network of eleven subsidiaries and many co-operating companies localised in the main economic centres of Poland.

For all these years we have developed our company and widened the range of our services in order to meet customers’ demands. At present, apart form the generally grasped economic information, we deal with such fields as: monitoring of the press, direct marketing, media relations and event marketing (the organisation of special events of all kinds).

At the beginning TAI provided information services directed to companies that were looking for cooperation – subcontractors, producers, and service providers. From 1997 the information services has been available under the telephone number of nationwide info-line 94 77. From 1998 the info-line has been operating 24 h a day, seven days a week.

Moreover, in 1997 TAI as one of the first companies in Poland gave access to the data base of information on our clients through the Internet on www.tai.pl. At the same time the company broadened its offer by  placing advertisements in Polish newspapers, providing  information service on content of advertisements and by internet services. Two years later TAI started a whole range of direct marketing services: preparing and updating data bases, telemarketing, and mailing.

1995 was the most crucial year for the company. It was the start of regular monitoring of the press. At the beginning the information on tenders, bids and auctions was in demand. From 1998 the press has been searched for articles and advertisements for marketing and PR departments of companies.

In January 2002 the PressInfo was started. It is the internet service devoted to information on tenders and investments.  In April 2003 TAI opened Center of Press Monitoring.
